corruption of dot point formatting when saving word 2007 as word 2

This is a new problem, experienced in the last day.
When I 'save as' a word 2007 file into word 2003 format, the dot points I
have in the document reformat. The dot appears on RHS of document and the
first character of the text appears on LHS of document with the remaining
text in the dot point on the next line.
I tried selecting all and then copying it into a new document in word 2007.
The formatting recorrects. But then corrupts again as soon as I save as word
2003. I can work around this by saving documents as pdf but this isn't a
long-term workable solution. I am working across different types of pcs so
need this option to work.

Please clarify what you mean by a 'dot point'. Are you referring to the
normal non-printing inter-word dots? If so and they are being carried on to
the next line, it suggests that one of Word's compatibility rules has been
set, possibly the 'Wrap trailing spaces to next line' option.

I wondered if she meant "bullet points," but even assuming that didn't make
the question any clearer. I suspect your interpretation is more likely.

That's a possible interpretation. We will have to wait for some
clarification.
