Can you prevent damage to an automobile?

Of course, it's impossible to have absolute 100.00000% security of any
computer file. You can have power failures, stupid users, even occasional
program bugs.

Good database design, proper indexing (neither too much nor too little),
preventing users from getting into the guts of the database, good hardware
(especially stable networks) all help... but "prevent" is a very high hurdle.

It's not clear why you're asking about VFP databases in an Access forum.

And requesting private email support is considered impolite. If it's worth my
time to compose an answer, it should be worth your time to come back to the
newsgroup for it. In addition, posting your email address on a Usenet
newsgroup puts you at real risk for getting lots of SPAM - bots routinely
harvest email addresses from these groups.
