Maureen, as far as I know, having perused their Office website, they are
offering no discounts for those of us who participated in their Public Beta
of Office 2003.

Also, you will be unable to upgrade from the Beta. To install Office 2003,
you will have to uninstall the Beta, and install Office 2003 fresh.

Actually, I received mail from Microsoft indicating that if you have the
beta installed, installed the released version will offer to uninstall the
beta and then do so if you click on Okay. Although why someone would want
to hold onto beta code escapes me.

Having searched the archives,

I was just thinking of my first experience (pre-Technical Refresh) of
uninstalling Office 2003. When I re-installed OfficeXP, Outlook was
unusable, so I did a clean installation of XP -- I had probably been looking
for an excuse, anyway.

However, after I reinstalled the beta, and applied the Technical Refresh,
when I finally removed the beta, and re-installed OfficeXP, I had no
problems with Outlook.

Anyway, if you uninstall the beta code before, or in the process, of
installing the release code, the same results transpire: that is, the beta
code is removed before installing the released version.
