"Could not find installable ISAM"

When trying to import data from a text file into an Acess table I get this
error. I've Googled my self green and can't find the answer.
Also does anyone know if I can get the SP-3 update for Office professional
on a CD as I can't stay connected long enough to download it on my dial up
connection.

Hi Floyd,
I recently got a similar problem when I tried to import/export from an
external excell document. I used Microsoft Acess 97 professional edition. It
happened after I reinstalled MS Office Professional Edition within Windows XP
professional Edition.

The problem has been fixed when I downloaded the Microsoft's ValuPack and
execute the data access execuable file (dataacc.exe)which fixed up my
registry...I hope this tip may help you in some way.
