Could not open key (error 1402)

I bought a used computer with office 2000 with it and put
it on my other computer instead. I then had to uninstall
it to make some other changes. When I tried to reinstall
this error comes up.
1402 Could not open key:
UNKNOWN\INSTALLER\Components\1BAE92CC2CB7.... ETC. Verify
that you have sufficient access to that key or contact
your support personnel.
What has Happened?
