Could Not Open Macro Storage

Hello all,

I've seen a discussion on this before but it was not resolved and I am
hoping there is some new information that may help me.

I've recently installed the 11.3.7 update to Office and it stopped my
Endnote 8 from working. I tried everything that Endnote suggests and
then found that the problem seems to be with the VB editor. When I
try to launch the VB editor (clean - new document) I get the error
"Could not Open Macro Storage".

Everything was running fine before the update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as Word and Endnote are pretty
much most of what I use in a day and now I'm not able to use them.

Thanks,

Neil

Hi again,

I actually have solved it myself. It turns out that Excel and
Powerpoint give much more detailed error messages. Excel suggested
that perhaps VBA was not installed (it was). Powerpoint also
suggested it was not installed and told how to fix it. So even though
VBA was installed, I put back in the install disk and did a custom
install selecting JUST the VBA tools. Ran the install and now VBA
works on all three applications.

Yeah, that error often means "Could not open macro storage because I could
not FIND the compiler" :)
