could not open macro storage

L

Lothar

the above error message is created whenever my .DOT is
used by another user and a very simple macro is executed.
The error pops up, when the macro tries to save the
document in html form using
application.Activedocument.Saveas thepath,wdFormatHTML

The user can run the command (File/Save As Web page)
manually without problems.

NB: it does run perfectly on my (win2k) machine.

Environment: Office2000, Win2000

None of the articles in Technet, that I have found,
applies.

any ideas?

Hi,
I usually get this error when a file referenced in my .dot
file is missing. You can check for missing reference files
by clicking Tools - Reference in the VBA Editor. The
word "MISSING" will be written before the missing
reference. If it is missing, you will need to install that
file on the user's machine.
Hope this helps.

Dear Purvi,

that did it!
I was referencing Outlook version 10 TLB, when the client
had only version 9.

Thank you sooooo much.

Shame on MS for spitting out such a misleading error
message.
