Could not open *.mpd files

Hi,

I'm not being able to open *.mpd files (even the ones that I have created).
I’m getting a message box “the file could not be openedâ€. Does anyone now
what I can do to open *.mpd files? I'm working with MSProjects Professional
2003…

Tiago,
I had a similar problem several months ago. It turned out my
installation of Project was corrupt. After I re-installed, the problem
went away. Your problem may or may not be the same.

It is also possible that the .mpd file itself is corrupt. Does this
happen with just one file or any file you attempt to save as a .mpd?
Also, how does the file react when you try to open it on another PC?

Then it sounds like your installation of Project is corrupt. I would
first try a repair (Help/Detect and Repair). Also make sure you have
service pack SP2 installed. If a repair doesn't help, (I'm guessing it
won't), bite the bullet and re-install Project.
