Hi there,
I have a bizaare problem with one of my applications that inserts records
into an Access DB from a linked DBF file. The application first links in
the DBF file and then executes an INSERT INTO command. This works fine when
there is only a few records in the DBF file, but when the DBF file contains
over about 5000 rows (I'm not sure exactly of the point of error) I get the
error: "Could not update; currently locked bt user '(unknown)' on machine
''.".
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Can anyone shed some light on
this very strange problem which seems to be isolated to only a specific PC?
They have the latest version of JET installed.
TIA,
Charles
