Couldn't find file SYSTEM.MDW

Only on one machine. What I have found on the net has not been helpful,
nor has a removal and reinstall of office 2003.

Works if I open access then open the database, but I need to add this to
the scheduler...

Oh, there is a SYSTEM.MDW file. I copied it to several different
places, and it made no difference. and I finally got the databse to work
if I specify that SYSTEM.MDW file in the command line I use to call up
the database.

My concerns were that:

I never set it up to use such a file, it simply decided on it's own one
day to start requiring it.

There is no way I can find to tell Acces I do not wnat to use such a
file , turn off this requirement.

Access ALWAYS uses a workgroup file. And if there isn't one where it expects
it to be (usually C:\WINDOWS\system32\), Access will create one.

It sounds as though you might have been playing with security, and messed up
the default one.

I wasn't touching security in anyway with this thing. It is a
standalone database that does nothing but send about 50 reports out
every morning. No need for security. I have no idea why it started
complaining. Maybe something just got corrupted. Anyway, it is working
for now. I just wish I knew how to fix it the right way. Where do you
go to findout where a particular database is expecting to find that
file? I chave copied the one which works when specified on the command
line to just about everywhere I can think of, including system32, no joy.
