couldn't open documents

Hi,

I just update my Microsoft Office from XP version to
Office 2003 profession version onto my laptop.
I'm using Microsoft XP as Operating System.

The problems that I encountered is I couldn't open the
word files. The error message I received is " The file is
not available ".

I try download the patches from internet and install, but
it still the same.

Please assist me if who faces this problems before.

Hi Eric,

If you use Norton AV as your virus scanner then in Norton Options
select the Miscellaneous section and turn off "Enable Office Plug-in"
