I have many very long columns of approx. 6,500 values each. But to make it
simple let's just concentrate on one of them. Such a column of values
contains some cells that meet my criteria (e.g. having a value greater than
36,000) and these are arranged in clusters of 3 to 40 contiguous cells. By
conditional formating I have formatted or highlighted those that meet my
criteria, although this might unnecessary.
I could paste the COUNT function beside each cluster and specifiy the proper
range of cells/cluster but I have tens (or hundreds?) of such long columns
and it's becoming painful to do that.
Alternatively, I was wondering if it is possible to CONDITIONALLY INSERT a
FUNCTION?; Let's say is it possible to 'conditional insert COUNT' beside a
cell cluster with a given format?
Thanks in advance. Please notice that I'm not an experienced user of Excel.
Kind regards,
Oscar

I want to count the number of cells that make up each individual cluster <. In the example below, please notice that there are 2 clusters whose values are >36,000. The first cluster is composed of 6 cells, the next one is composed of 7 cells. These are the values that I'm interested in ( 6 and 7). Unfortunately, these clusters do NOT occur at such regular intervals.
