=Count(*) not working

Greetings all,

I have a text box on the footer of a search form that is based on a query
with the control source set to =Count(*). When the form is viewed, "#ERROR"
is displayed in the text box. Any thoughts?

I have another db that it works fine in, but not this one.

Thanks in advance...this news group has been extremely helpful,
george

Hi Golfinray,

Thanks for your assistance. I tried your suggestion, but it still did not
work, as contue to get "#Error". I am thinking that it is something simple
that I am over looking.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again,
george

Make sure that the name of the text box is not the name of any field in the
form's recordsource.

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the reply...much appreciated.

That was it. One of the other text boxes on the footer had the same name and
it produced an error on all the other text boxes also. Wow, you are good.

Again much appreciated,
george
