Count of Cell's contents ie Text,characters & numbers

Hello I am a new user and possibly in the wrong place but I am sure in
the right hands...

Dear All,

I am trying to find out how to measure or Count a Cell's contents ie
Text,characters & numbers..

Can anyone help advise me how!!!???

=LEN(A1)

will count the characters in a cell regardless if they are text (and
spaces), numbers..

=SUMPRODUCT(LEN(A1:A10))

will count the characters in A1:A10
