countdown timer in presenter view

I like the presenter view in Powerpoint, but when I create the slideshow and
schedule the day out, I would like to be able to set a countdown timer
instead of having to remember how long I budgeted for each specific
slideshow. Is such a thing possible with a workaround or add-in, or am I
just wasting my time wishing for something Microsoft would have to do?

Just to make sure I am understanding what you are asking FRiles,

You want a simple "X seconds to next slide" be displayed as part of the
presentation on the screen. Is this correct? If so, there are still
multiple ways of doing this (animations, VBA, etc.), but before we go
father, we need to make sure.

Bill - Actually, what I would like is to take the count up timer that is in
presenter view, and instead of have it count up, set a time for the overall
presentation and have it count down. I am teaching with 3 other people over
the course of a day, 16 presentations in all, so it is important that not
only myself, but the others stay on time in each presentation. If necessary,
I can put the time for each presentation in each notes section on each slide,
but I think it would be easier to set a countdown timer for each
presentation, if that is possible. Thanks for the help!
