counter won't reset

I made some major changes to a page with a counter and saw that it got set
to 1 again. I went into the counter and reset to another number, but it's
not taking.

Is there a reason for this? Thanks for any suggestions. Diana

You need to do this on the live/remote site by editing the _private/pagename.htm.cnt file
