COUNTIF ? with multiple conditions

My table looks like this:

A B C
Blue Chair Plastic
Green Chair Plastic
Blue Table Wood
Blue Stool Plastic
Green Chair Wood

I want to create calculations of the number of
- Blue Plastic Chairs
- Blue Wooden Chairs
- Green Plastic Chairs
- Green Wooden Chairs
- Blue Plastic Tables
- Blue Wooden Tables

etc

Help. I am using Excel 2002.

All help hugely appreciated.
