Countif

Greetings:

I have created a list of questions (E10:E100). Each question has the same
drop down box that provides a response of “Yâ€, “Nâ€, “Ukn†and “N/Aâ€. I would
like to determine the number of “N†that has been selected to answer each of
the questions in the range. I have used a countif (E10:E100, “Nâ€) which
works only if the “N†has been typed directly into the cell, but not if the
letter is selected from a drop-down box.

What about it does not work? How have you created the list, Data
validation?, Do you get an error, wrong answer, no answer?
