From 10/16/2003 note: COUNTIF will not work. Also use
SUMPRODUCT(N(RANGE=CRITERIA)*(RANGE=CRITERIA)). Key is
to be certain your data column(s) are formatted text
via "Data to Text" drop-down, not from Format-Cells drop-
down AND that the cell where the formula is placed is
formatted general.

It's always nice to continue a thread so we will have some idea of what you
speak. It's an archive thing too.
