I'm fuming, probably at my own blindness. I'm a long
time, but occasional, user and I need to count the
occurrences of the string ".html" in a range, say
d1:d1522. The string is part of a filename and could
occur anywhere in the name (usually at the end ;o)
All I can find on MS are stupid VBA formulae. (sorry, did
I mention I'm a bit frustrated?) I know there used to be
a substr() logical function way back when. Apparently
they've stopped calling them substrings, stopped sorting
them with text functions, or some such. MS knowledge base
on Excel 97 mentions Instr() which does not exist in MY
Excel 97, surprise surprise.
Help?
