Counting Selected Checkboxes in a Report

I'm trying to create a control in a group footer section
that will calculate the number of selected checkboxes for
a checkbox control in the detail group. I've tried a
variety of expressions, but I either get a value of zero
or a total that equals the number of records in the detail
section.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
