Counting text in a report

In a report I need to calculate how many times a given
word appears in the grouped section. Example if I have 10
records in the group, and in the column named condition
there are 5 records displaying "GOOD" 2 displaying "poor"
and 3 displaying "Missing" in the grouped footer I need
to calculate the total for each condition.

I would create a totals query that groups by your section grouping and
Condition. Add a count of records. Then create a subreport based on this
totals query and place it in the group footer of the main report.
