Counting the Number of Pages in a Section

I have a template with three sections. Each section needs to look like it's a
separate document with different footers. Not a problem so far. However, the
footer in each section must display 'Page X of Y'. I restart the page
numbering ('X') in each section, but I need to find a way to determine and
display the number of pages ('Y') in each section as well, which can vary
from document to document - and of course there is no native Word
functionality to do this. Any suggestions?

And there is my "new thing I've learned today". Thanks Doug! Works a treat!

(BTW, other than searching the Word help for "SECTIONPAGES", how would I
have found this?)

If you knew that Page numbers are actually short fields, then you might have
investigated the different available fields: Insert > Fields > "Numbering"
under "Categories"...

O I C...

Well, I *did* know that page numbers were fields, but I'd not investigated
the function and use of the various options available under "Categories".
Thanks for the pointer. When I have time I'll be sure to poke around in there
a bit more.

Thanks for the tip Jean-Guy!
