couple problems after upgrade from Office 2000 to Office 2003

After the upgrade, some notes are not showing up.

Cannot add a mobile phone number to a contact. The system just beeps, won't
allow any characters in the field.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind, I found the user was trying to type numbers without the numlock
on causing the beeps. Gotta love operator error!
