Courier New: lines come out lighter when apostrophe's & quotes R u

What I'm finding is that when I print out a document using "Courier New" Font
Size 10 from Word most of the text looks normal, but occasional lines or
parts of lines are lighter in color. It happened on every printer, it
happend on different computers, it didn't matter if the lines were moved
around or if it was bolded. It also didn't matter if I started typing from
scratch, the same text would cause the same problem. What it seems to be, is
a bug with the font Courier New (no other font has this problem). Every line
that has an apostrophe (') or quotation marks (") came out with lighter font.
Ironically, the aprostrophe and the quotation mark are the same key. I have
not heard of this issue from any other forum and I don't believe there is a
fix (anyone?). But at least I know it isn't me. :) I wish I could use
another font but all of the contracts I create are required to be in Courier
New (at least that is the directive this moment). I am using Microsoft Word
2003, Version 11.8026.6568 SP2 & Microsoft XP Professional, Version 2002 SP2.
