I tried to convert a Word doc to PDF for a coworker. I have Word2000 and
Acrobat 4.0 on a Win2000 platform. Four previous documents coverted okay.
The fifth, though, started counting tags and styles to convert, and had over
25,000 when I left to let it run over the weekend. It crashed without
finishing. The original Word doc was about 94 meg. I know he had lots of
headers and footers, section breaks everywhere, and several handsful of
graphics.
Is Acrobat 4.0 too old to handle something this ugly? I don't think he's
going to be allowed to take the time to clean up and reformat the document,
so we're just looking for a solution or "it can't be done like this". (For
additional information, we tried it on an RTF version also with the same
results.)
Any help is appreciated.
