Crappy Forums

Ok so I know the team would like to get the community to have more developer
participation. So I have a question.

Why do you have such crappy forums?

I realize there aren't as many project server dedicated forums as some of
the other projects and technologies, but look at these examples:

* http://silverlight.net/forums/
* http://forums.microsoft.com/sync/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=1913&SiteID=75

Those types of forums (I believe hosted on Forums.Microsoft.com) are much
easier to use that the MSDN forums which are almost impossible to use. Is
there another interface for these forums or are you guys just stuck on this
old type of forum for some reason.

If you want better community, get better forums.

Bryant,

Try an nntp newsreader and log into news.microsoft.com
Avoid the web interface.

The problem is most of the places I work during the day block nntp. I haven't
used a news reader in ages. Seems like the project team could get better
forums if the Sync framework team can. :)

Thanks for the suggestion though.

This has been a source of constant contention between MVP's and Microsoft
for several years. They keep working on it and everyone keeps complaining
about it :)

I prefer a newsgroup over a forum!!! Big time!
A newsgroup can be consulted offline when cached... a forum can't...

Ok fine. :)

I'm trying out the newsreader again. I haven't been in the nntp groups for a
long time.

I guess this is better.
