Hi, I'm having a heck of a problem w/ Excel. When I launch the application,
the toolbars show, then I get the never-ending spinning beachball. I have to
force quit.
I have the problem narrowed down to the user. I can log in as another user,
and it works fine. Sounds like a preference, right? I trashed ~/Lib/Pref/MS
and every com.microsoft file under the user heading. I also ran the Office
Uninstall and re-installed it. Same result.
I was able to open a couple of previously created files. When I open one,
and hit new document, it freezes with the spinning beach ball. Sounds like
the 'normal' template has problems. But I un-installed and re-installed, ran
the updater, etc. I'm on 10.4.4, and ran repair disk permissions. All other
office applications run normally w/ this user acct. It's just Excel.
Anything I missed? Please suggest something, I'm at a loss.....
