I'm using OneNote SP1 under WinXP Pro. Lately, I've been having sporadic
crashes; I'll be in another app, then switch back to OneNote, which will be
hung (Not Responding). Then when I restart it, it asks if I want Safe Mode, and
I say yes. It will display error dialogs saying something like "unable to open
file", then eventually start acting in a relatively normal fashion, except that
whenever I select a folder with sections, it tells me there have been problems.
So I have to go through & select every section. Occasionally, recent entries
have been lost, which in some cases I've been able to recover from a backup
version. IAE, there are often pages (always the last one in a section) with its
tab saying Untitled, even though it had been titled. Typically, if I click the
tab, the page name returns.
The last symptom (Untitled pages) often occurs even without the crash & Safe
Mode.
Between the time it takes to go through each section, and the occasional lost
data, this is very disconcerting!
Any idea what's going on?
