My word 2007 always crashes upon launch after autoupdates downloads an IE
update. I'm running IE7. When this happens, reinstalling IE7 fixes the
problem, until I get updated again. I turned off Automatic Updates for a few
months, and the problem never happened during that time. I turned them back
on, and sure enough it's crashing again. Since I had automatic updates set to
download and install automatically, I have no idea what patch is causing the
problem. I saved the error report that goes to M$ (and also sent several to
them), but it doesn't tell me much. My goal in posting this is more to make
M$ aware of a potential problem with one of their patches. Surely my
configuration isn't unique enough so that I am the only one experiencing this.
