Crashing Excel & Word

Recently I upgraded to Office 2003. Now quite frequently
when I attempt to open a network file either one of these
products crash. Also, the programs crash in the middle
of working with a network file. I have attempted to
reinstall the entire suite.

Try turning off the AutoRecovery feature. There is definitely a problem
with all Office network file access with this turned on. File
corruption is all too common with AutoRecovery on either locally or
networked.
