Create a cd

I'm not Access savvy. I would like to create a cd for a
very large database, but I need a search box. My database
is to be searched by keywords and the results to show the
results...

Where do I start...I can't seem to grasp how to do this.
Am I over my head?

I presume you mean that there is to be a database on a CD that you wish to
search in.

1. would this be a data only database? ie , a back end?

2. or will the CD also contain the front end searching application?

If it only contains the data (option 1), then you only need to link the
tables... to a front end app.

If it contains the app as well, then, I haven't thought that thru yet...

so whats your CD going to contain???
