create a formula

Example:
if H5-G5 equals a negative sum I want to show zero
if H5-G5 equals a positive sum I want to show that sum

Liz, this is what you need to put:

=if(h5-g5<0,0,h5-g5)

=MAX(H5-G5,0)
returns the largest of H5-G5 and 0 so will be 0 or positive
