Create a new DB by importing from another DB

How can I create a new DB by importing from another DB that is secured? When
I do this Access says I do not have necessary permissions. However, I am the
administrator and designer of this secured DB (split DB). I'm trying to copy
the FE to solve another problem. What steps are necessary to properly import
from a secure DB (mdb) file?

You need to join the workgroup for the secured database and log-on as the
owner of the secured FE file; then open a new database and import the
objects you want from the FE. Then, if you wish to unsecure the new
database, while still attached to the secure workgroup, you need to change
the owner of every object to the "Admin" user, and assign all permissions on
every object (including the database object) to the Admin user. The new
database will then be unsecured, and you will be able to use it without
joining the secure workgroup (you will need to rejoin the normal system.mdw
first).

If you do this, and then copy objects from the unsecured database base to
the secure FE after solving your problem, they will not be secure unless you
change their owner and permissions again in the secure FE. It may be
simpler to just join the secure .mdw file while you sort out the problem (in
a copy of the existing FE file).
