Create a template in 2003 Word

I would like to create a template in 2003 word that allows individuals to
only type into the text fields. They are not able to make any changes to the
margins, font to style settings is this possible?

Create a protected form. Insert form fields from the forms toolbar and
protect the document. The protection will only protect against accidental
changes.
