create a view/report to show tasks and resources

V

vertex andy

It's a simple view/report required which is divided into 4 sections.
- Upper Left : contains all tasks
- Lower Left : contains resource names
- Upper Right : contains Gantt
- Lower right : contains aggregated resource values for same time periods as
Gantt

It should loook something like this (but bigger!!)

+-------------------------------------------------------------+
| |
|
| |
|
| Tasks | Gantt |
| |
|
| |
|
|----------------------|---------------------------------------|
| |
|
| Res names | resource totals |
| |
|
+-------------------------------------------------------------+

THere are 2 conditions
1. It has to be printable on one report
2. the resources section on the lower part should only contain aggregated
resource totals and NO task details.

Can this be achieved. If you're familiar with PMW, it was the basic Gantt
chart view.

Hi Andy?,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I don't think this is directly possible in Project. You can get something
like it if you reverse the views. Using a split screen, have the Resource
Usage view in the top pane and the Gantt Chart in the lower pane.
Alternatively, you could open a second window, align the dates and use print
screen or some capture program.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
