Create a website

Hi, I am looking to create a social networking website like facebook.
I dont want anything too complex but need to be able to have an
account creation option to start with and some small features within
the page like upload photograph create a profile etc.
Can anyone please help me with this? Is Front page a good software to
do this? If not what would be a better option. If yes how would I
create the account creation option and ensure that the details are
stored for the user to log back on?

No Frontpage is not a good tool for this. No WYSIWYG editor is a good tool
for this. You need a server side language (.NET / PHP) to communicate to a
database (MSSQL, mysql, Oracle).

or possibly a prefab program like a forum/portal...DotNetNuke or PHPbb those
kinda things might work.
