Do you want to create an arch with a brick pattern, where the
arch actually cuts into the bricks?
Or do you want to stack the bricks so that they form an arch?
The latter might be tricky and time-consuming; but the former
would be easy enough to do. For instance, you could create the
brick pattern first, copy the bricks to make a wall that measures the
apex height and base width of your arch, draw a simple arch shape
(you could draw an ellipse and then section it into halves by drawing a
line and using the Fragment command), and then overlay your
arch over the brick wall pattern.
From there, you could use the Subtract command to remove the
ellipse shape, leaving nothing but the actual vectors of the arch
itself.
(Of course, this assumes that your brick pattern is a vector image
and not a raster/bitmap image. If the brick pattern is a raster image, you'd
be better off working with it outside of Visio and then bringing it in.)
Work with this and see what you can come up with.
The Shape | Operations functions on the menu bar are very
useful for this sort of thing. I'm sure there are many ways to come
up with what you need. Post again if you'd like to share what you've
created or have any other questions.
