Create an on-digit-reset Timer in jscript

Hi to everyone!

I'm trying to create a timer that starts (and obviously resets himself) when
user makes any operation on the form, and generates an alert when time
interval ends.
I've seen in MSDN that jscript can't handle ontick event, so i really don't
know what to do...
Any help will be welcome, thanks

Sorry, I'm a bit new about this...Do You mean I have to create a new task
pane with the timer control or there is already such a functionality in an
existent task pane? Maybe I have to use a custom ActiveX Control? Could U
post me a link or something that talks about this topic?
