I understand how to use the chart wizard. I only want to things inputted into the chart: Volume and Mass. In the table I put Volume in column A (Volume in the 1st row) and Mass in column B (same as row as Volume). I listed 10 values under Volume and Mass in each column. When I select this table, the 2 columns of numbers are highlighted with a blue line under volume and mass. Why is only the Mass cell highlighted green and not the volume cell? Does that mean my chart will only include the mass numbers?? Please help!

Why don't you try it and see what happens? If is is wrong or bad, delete the
chart and try again. If you have a specific question about how it works or
what is not working the way you thought it should, ask again.

I did try that and it isn't recognizing the volume factor. It is inputting everything into the chart as mass. How do I set it up to recognize the volume with the mass?

Not certain, but it sounds as though excel is plotting mass and volume
as separate series with category labels defined simply as 1, 2,
3, .... If this is the problem, there are at least two solutions. One
is to choose XY Scatter as the chart type. Another is to go to Chart >
Source Data and select Series. Remove Mass (I'm assuming this is your
independent variable), and paste those cells into the Category (X)
axis labels.
