create corizontal table

hi,

i have the requirement to create a table in infopath.

i am using repeating table to display the results of a query. the query only
returns 1 column. i would like to display this column either;

a) horizontally concatenating each value with an ","

or failing that

b) in 3 columns using modulus to work out what shoud be displayd in each
column so that each column only has unique instances of the data.

has anybody ever faced the same problem.

help is appreciated.
