Hi,

I've seen this question twice on the forum, but nobody was able to give a satisfying answer. I spend a lot of time changing the chart fonts, line weights, background etc. and would like to save the chart as a template. This was possible in older version of Excel, but I (and others) cannot find it in Excel 2008.

Is there any solution?

I do not want to use the pre-designed styles, because they don't help me with things like line weight etc., on top of that they do not provide the font I use (Helvetica).

Thank you
Natascha

Hi,

I ran into this problem myself trying to have consistent formatting across some 50 charts for a paper. I'm pleased to say I've discovered a method that's practically convenient. You can copy/paste (special) formats from one chart to another! The only bad part is that you can only paste (special) to one chart at a time, so I had to paste (special) like 49 times. It may be a slight hassle, but it definitely beats pasting entire charts and messing with data sources, etc. Hope you like this method.
