create dataview webpart from FP2003 for 2003 sharepoint (sws)

Hi,

I have 2003 server installed and sharepoint 2003. I just installed Frontpage
2003 on a client machine to attempt to create webpart (specifically a
dataview webpart). I cant seem to use the DATA, INSERT DATA VIEW option as
it says:

"The frontpage data view can only be used on servers running windows
sharepoint servers". Which is fair enough. i.e can only use front page
dataview webparts on the server when front page is installed on the server.

It also says:

"if you do not have a web site hosting services, find one that supports
front page of windows sharepoint services by using the web presence provider
search page"

What is the WEB PRESENCE PROVIDER SEARCH PAGE ? does this give me the
ability to connect to a remote SWS site and create a dataview ? if so how to
i use the WEB PRESENCE PROVIDER ?

ok, intstalled FP2003 on 2003 server with sharepoint and get the same
problem. anyone know how to design/create a dataview webpart ?

i assume i need to connect to a database first or something ?

got it. had to connect to "remote web site" first.
