Create Handwriting vs Create Drawings

I'm noticing that when I email OneNote files, if the graphics were created
entirely with the "Create Drawing Only" tool....they come across fairly well.
Otherwise, when created with "Create Handwriting Only' tool....the files
come across unreadable or not aligning with a backdrop image.

Is there anything to this?
