Create macro in a template?

Yesterday I submitted a question about disappearing macros. It was suggested
that I create a macro in a template that I should save in the Word Startup
folder. How do you save a macro as a template?

Create a blank document,
Do "Save As" and Select "Template" in file type,
Save it to the Word Start-up folder
(To find out what it is, do Tools > Options > File Locations tab
and note the Start-up folder in the list of Word folders),
Do ALT-F11 to access the Visual Basic Editor (VBE),
Right click on your template name in the list of available projects
(Top left pane under the menus) and select "Standard Module",
In the pane on the right, paste the code you were given,
Save your template,
Quit and restart Word to activate your template which is now in
the start-up folder
