Create new task

G

Gil

Hi All,
We are using Project Server 2007 + Infrastructure update.
As an Administrator, I have all the permissions in "My organization"
category, and all the global permissions too.
That said, in My Task page, when I click on the New> Task link, only
the projects I am a member in are available to choose from. I would
expect to be able to choose between ALL project in the server. Is this
the design of the system? If not, how can I create a new task in a
project I am not a member in?
I am testing this feature for users that will not have MS-Project
client, so opening the project plan and adding the new task is not an
option...

Thanks for any help,
Gil.

Good question! Microsoft's assumption is that users should only be able to
create new tasks in projects in which they are an actual team member. This
includes the Project Server administrator as well, which is why you see only
those projects in which you are a team member. Hope this helps.
