Create OLAP Cube first time

I am confused about the creation of an OLAP cube for the first time via PWA.
I have PS 2003 installed on single machine, all is working. I have Analysis
Services running and I see the Foodmart 2000 db and cubes in there.

In PWA it asks me for Analysis Server and Cube Name. I assume I put the
machine name of the Analysis Server..but what about the Cube Name..is this a
name I choose for a new cube ? Or does this cube get created with this name ?

Also..don't I have to specify what Catalog it will be created in ? or does
it get put in the Foodmart 2000 by default ?

Hi Peter,

Server name = your computer name
Cube name = any text, NOT foodmart.

As for me I use name like TestOLAP, etc.

Hi Peter,

I agree that can be confusing. The term Cube is actually used incorrectly.
You actually will need to enter your Catalog: ( standard is ProjectServer).
The Catalog combines muliple cubes.

Thank you ..Reino and Mark for your answers. I am still a little confused.
Reino says to enter any name for the cube (I take that to mean it will create
one with that name)...Mark.you said to enter a name for the Catalog (which is
a db in the Analsysis Server..right ? Like Foodmart ? ).

Obviously ..my different attempts are not working that's why I need
clarification so I know if I understand how it should work.
