create random calendar appointment dates using same description

I would like to be able to select random dates to create multiple occurences
of an appointment. For instance the same meeting for dates onec 5, dec 8,
jan 5, feb 8 etc etc. Currently I believe I have to do each date separately.
Is that true?

Yes, it's true.

You can use the day view and select multiple dates in the small thumbnail
calendars to display more than one date at once in the day view, then copy
the appointment to the other dates.
