create 'stop codes' in Word doc

B

BS10

Hi,
I have converted a number of WordPerfect files into Word 2000. I need
to setup stop codes so the typist can move within the documents by
simply pressing F9 like they did in WP.
eg. the typist has a template which she needs to fill in data in 3
places on the document. In WP she fills in blank_1 presses F9 and the
cursor automatically moves to blank_2 & then on to blank_3 etc.

I have tried using forms in protected documents but this hasnt really
worked out as occasionally they will need to edit a different part of
the document but cannot do so if it is protected.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

hello

form would be the best idea, they just have to unlock the document when
they want to edit it.

another solution would be bookmarks (insert menu)

or the field "macrobutton" wich can be move to with F11
