I'm using Word 2000
I want to create a template with fields that automaticly fill in.
First a User Field. When anyone opens this template it fills in the Name
area with the Current users name. I asume it would pull that data from the
personal computer.
Next is the date. Open this template and it places that days date. Now
this needs to be fixed. Happens the first time the document is created &
never again. Meaning if I open the saved .doc the date will be the same as
the day I first used the template. No auto update.
Next, Company address. We have two offices. Is there a way to create a auto
field for each office?
Final question. What about a total page number field?
Additonal notes. I have tried adding autotext and fields already. I cannot
get them to work correctly. Maybe someone could point me in the right
direction?
If this is not possible with Office 2000, what about 2003 or 2007? If its
available in a newer version we might consider upgrading.
